"For many years, there has been a lack of true equity for all the stake holders in the recruitment ecosystem. Clients deserved better service at more equitable fees. Candidates deserved better treatment and exposure to more opportunities. Recruiters needed more resources and stronger partnerships with clients. The Novotus business and delivery model addresses all these old problems and delivers a better and more modern solution for everyone involved."

Mike Mayeux, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mayeux (MYU!), founder and CEO of Novotus, uses nearly 20 years' experience in the talent acquisition industry to steer employees, clients, and candidates toward success. With his unique understanding of technology, consulting, and recruiting, Mayeux leads the Novotus team to accomplish the goal of reinventing talent acquisition. Always on the cutting edge of interactive technology, Mayeux allows Novotus to lead the industry in tools and best practices that improve clients recruiting results.

Prior to forming Novotus, Mayeux was Practice Director at one of Oracle's largest full-service consulting practices, ThinkSpark. Mayeux's management experience followed his tenure as Senior Sales Executive at Hire.com, where he worked with some of the world's largest companies in purchasing and implementing enterprise-recruiting solutions.

Mayeux had previously worked for Search One, an executive search firm. He joined Search One as an executive recruiter, and progressively moved to COO, CIO, and Partner. Mayeux recognized early the opportunities for the Internet to transform recruiting, and personally established an Internet search/research department for the company.

His work to advance the industry has included membership and awards with the National Association of Personnel Consultants. He co-founded and serves as a board member of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association.

Mayeux's passions stretch far beyond uniting employers and employees.

He also enjoys spending time with his wife and children, attending church, playing golf, and grilling massive amounts of barbecue for large groups of people.

"Talent acquisition is always important to great companies - but never more important than today, given the changing demographics in the American workforce. We have believed for years that the staffing industry has failed to innovate in the way it serves companies and the way it prices its services. As a result, instead of partnering for success, it becomes a last resort when all else has failed. With Novotus, and other like-minded RPO companies, we are driving vastly improved hiring metrics while reducing our clients' cost per hire. At Novotus we love changing the way an industry operates!"

Jim Taylor, Chief Operational Officer

Taylor, a co-founder of Novotus, serves as COO of the company. He is responsible for internal operations, including human resources and finance. Along with the other members of the senior leadership team, he drives initiatives to help the company recruit and retain great employees and maximizes the company's effectiveness for clients.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in the staffing industry. His first recruiting role was in 1985 as a staff recruiter in the property/casualty insurance industry. Subsequently, he co-founded several staffing companies including Premier Health Staff, a healthcare temporary staffing company that operated in 22 states. Along with other industry involvement, Taylor also serves on the board of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association.

When he's not re-inventing talent acquisition he spends time with his wife, four children, and the world's cutest grandchild. His interests include coaching youth sports, reading, and traveling.
